just found out that the thing I just got out of the hospital for is one of the leading causes of maternal morbity. No wonder I feel/felt like shit. Still scared every pain is an indicator that something is wrong, something is still in there. James wakes up from nightmares that I've died, I wake up from nightmares that I've died or he has.
If I never see another hospital it will be too soon. I can't clear my head of all the things that went wrong, or of this last surgery. This is what causes women to get hysterectomies. Yes I'm freaked.
But then I can look at Emily and feel better. And James, absolutely the finest man on the planet.
And I really appreciate those folks who've taken the time to send us good wishes and kind thoughts, especially during this last bit, which defined for us the phrase "insult added to injury."
James' mom sent us two boxes of WONDERFUL clothes and toys, I can't wait for our washer to be fixed to put her in them. And so did Angela's mom, Barbara--terribly cute dresses, shoes and hats from England. It's so wonderful to know how much this baby is loved already.
Her first nickname? Princess frogtoes cornsyrup...cause she sleeps on me like a wee frog, has really cute toes and is terribly sweet.

We had lots of bad dreams when we came home with Blake. It's really all about the sleep deprivation.
I am glad you are home. I love you and James, and I am so glad that you have James at your side. We could certainly trust no one else to perform such exemplary service at the side of Our Royal Cornsyrups.
Now the big question, is he going to be made King Cornsyrup or will you relegate him to a lesser status, like Prince of Wales?
