Strangely Mr. Newguise didn't sleep with us, but I had a wee teatime sleep under my neck (I didn't move at all for about 5 hours) and wake intermittently to slap my face and grab my nose. Ninny slept in her usual place in my lap and Zachary, after he brought several of his toys to bed (Abyssinians are such cool, weird cats) to try and entice a VERY tired Mr. teatime, settled in at the foot of the bed. It wasn't the usual way, with Newg and Zach under the covers, and I expect it's going to be a rather sleepless week. But we are off to an amazing start.

I couldn't leave the little guy mipping away last night in a locked room, so at midnight we rolled up the carpet until I clean it (or throw it away it's very nasty and old --followed James around for years apparently--I have to ask him)stripped the futon so I can wash the bedding and cleaned up all the other soft blankets and stuff I scattered throughout the room.

Ninny is still hissing, but not beating him up. I knew she was the grumpy aunty, but I expect she'll give in when he's of an age to worship her. I think Mr. Newg's problem (he runs away from Teatime at playtime) is simply that he wants to sleep and cuddle NOT play. Zachary can't get enough. Teatime still sleeps too much for his liking, but that will change in about a month.

YES I am the crazy cat lady. It really is lucky I'm married or I'd be a cliche. James is the crazy cat gentleman too.
