a fun moment
Oct. 19th, 2001 07:17 pmso we're tossing around baby names and it gets a little ridiculous...James wrote this to our mailing list:
[Gloom] It's spelled Asswipe and pronouced ass-wee-pay
So Jyllian and I are sitting here negotiating what the little spud's
name might be. She is, of course, leaning towards irish first names with
their tenuous connection between spelling and pronunciation.
I am immediately translating the name that will be used to torment the
child in grade school.
Her: Colm
Him: Colmshot
Her: Breasel (she says it 'brayzle')
Him: Breasel the weasle or just Weasle
Of course half the names are spelled Tghnrgh or Aooliochhhh.
We've settled on Malachai (spelled Maolsheachlann)
Leave it to the Irish to come up with a language you can't pronounce
unless you have some whiskey in you.
Darth Dago
BWA ha ha....he's a freak, and he's ALL MINE.
but actually we are leaning toward
malcolm xavier martini
and
emily Wednesday martini
so far.
