things funny and not
Mar. 14th, 2002 10:47 amMr. Teatime growls at oranges.
Not just a little, a lot. He also attacks and tries to kill them. But he growls at them when I am making a morning smoothie.
I am proud of my weird cats.
We now have a water fountain for the kitties. It is one of their presents for us disrupting their lives with a baby. Mr. Teatime loves it, he slaps at the water, drinks from the fountain and pounces in the dish. The jury is still out for the others. I expect they will come around--it's gotta taste better than the toilet right?
I thought not sleeping was supposed to happen when the baby was on the OUTSIDE.
I slept for poo last night and the night before. Leg cramps and sleep apnea. Asthma is better due to the air purifier. I wonder if that will help our allergic friends come and visit?
When I am whiny at night (sleeping actually hurts at times) James manages to soothe me and snore at the same time: "I'm sorry honey, ***SNORE*** it'll be ok, don't worry."
Emily does this thing--after I eat, about 10 minutes or so, she starts repetitively kicking in one area. This drives me nuts after about 20 minutes. Absolutely nuts. James is able about 97% of the time to stop her kicking by rubbing where she is kicking and talking to her. It's very weird and quite cool. The doc says she's sure Emily will know him when she pops out.
Tonite is our first prepared childbirth class. There are five, one a week.
I am really hoping we can go to the World Horror Convention but I'm not sure how I'll be feeling that close to the due date. It already gets difficult to walk at times. The shoes make a difference though. Angela warned me I'd get really sensible about my shoes and I was sure I could maintain boots and fashionable things--nope. Can't get around my stomach to lace the boots and tennis like shoes are easier to get around in--makes you steadier on your feet. So out of my vast closet of incredible shoes I wear two pairs most of the time. If James will lace them, I have some high tops and a pair of boots for those special occasions. Heh.
I will be really glad to get something like my old body back. And I am determined that we will get damn healthy as soon as the baby is over the initial difficult time.
really.
