I heard Northern Faire is closing...
oh no, that is so very sad. It wasn't my first faire, but my best and the one that made me a faire dork for sure. Blackpoint was magical and the folks there gave me faith once more for the innate kindness of people. That was a good 6 years of my life and the best part of living in the Bay Area next to school for me...

Damn damn damn.

Don't worry, to me, faire has been closed ever since it left Blackpoint.

I never made it down to it's latest location, the unfortunately named "Casa del fruita", but the Fairfield location came off as a Renaissance themed strip mall. I wend once, and vowed never to return.

Unless you saw different, it is mearly the end of the season.

Though I wish they had published the 2004 dates to be sure.

My 3 years doing faire was a blast, but alas politics has a way of ruining such things. I walked away before I hated it.

So I have 95% good memories.

I went to the new place once and it didn't have half the charm (or shade!) of Blackpoint. I had a great time during my one summer there. :)

You've probably already gotten my e-mail, but yeah, its true. The sad thing is that this site in Gilroy was gorgeous. It was much like a combination of Agoura and Blackpointe. And getting to be out there for the last two weekends was just like old times, despite recent tragedies.
