and a check and another check

James has gone to the dentist once--check.
He's finishing up this week--check
I found a swimsuit that is 1)very sun protectant (I burn immediately and get rashes) 2) covers my tats so I don't scare the normals AND they don't fade (spf 50 baby) 3) is just wacky enough looking and just not wacky enough looking to keep everyone confused. Finally 4) covers enough of the oh boy I had a baby body.

That means that two big things are checked off the list. I really think I'll be able to take her to the pool this summer and I found James a hilarious geek dentist (I'm going to switch to her too). She gave him toys! Light up things that make your teeth change colors and a bouncy ball and an elmo toothbrush for the Bean. They talked about lasers and physics.

I clap my hands and rub them together...what's the next thing?!

I gotta get one of those! . . . without looking like I'm wearing one of those prudish 1930's full-coverage suits. Ack!

I'm pretty allergic to the sun, so this should get us to the pool and keep me from being embarrassed at the fact that I have thighs now.

I kinda go for the thirties look and would absolutely wear one of those (bloomers and the stripey dress) were I in a less conservative place. If we move back to my home town, I'm absolutely going to get one--they already know I'm odd there ;-)

home is where you can be yourself :)

or at least most of yourself :-)
I think I'm all of myself at home, in the home. Or at the rescue farm or at the Bean's school. The pool here...too much of an unknown and I can't relax until it isn't. I spent so many days at the pool in Fayetteville that I could probably paint my ass bright green and walk on my hands and not feel weird there.

But then I'm a strange one.

Thanks for the link. Some of those suits are pretty nice. Although my problem isn't thighs. It's belly. I still look 5 months pregnant. I need one of those tankinis that hangs freely (until it gets wet, of course!)
