I've found the photo albums, I'm in danger of making everyone pay attention to me (ok, I could use a little of that)

1983--High School, senior year. Note small who button on dress--I got in a lot of trouble for that. I was in the select girl's performing group the 'choralettes' ( or whoralettes I liked to say). Note GIANT badly colored hair and white hose and shoes.
Yes, pumps. bleargh. They chose some of our clothes for us and I was the one they were specific about.






1994--master's graduation with my sister in San Francisco
(at my lightest, about 105lbs--I WILL NEVER be that skinny again dammit) And I think I need big hair again. Yep, I'll keep the layers but I need more hair)



WHY didn't I know how cute I was then? Everytime I say that looking at pictures, James says--Um, you will say the same thing about now in 10 years. Somehow I doubt it.

oh my god I know. I was appalled.

What you couldn't see is that it was a quasi mullet. now THAT's scary. When it was spiked not curly it looked less um

embarrassing, but only a little.

I loved that color--it was a mixture of torrids. It never lasted long but it looked cool for a few weeks.

I don't feel terribly cute right now, mostly useful and busy. I expect I'll feel better about all that a bit later. Still adapting to notagoth notasoccermom me.

I got my hair permed once, which, considering how much wave is already in it, and that this was late summer at the University of Missouri (Humidty Central), was not...bright.

But it did win me the nickname "Magenta" for a while, which was kinda cool.

Wow, those 94 pics really take me back. That was around the time when I first met you.

I remember Matt mentioning to me at one point that you were a natural blonde and I was like "What??? No way!!" Because you wore that red color so well, I couldn't envision you with blonde hair. I simply assumed you were a redhead when I met you.

However, I think you look totally fabulous now. This is probably the first time I've seen you ever with blonde hair, and I think you look great.
