I love gwen

I sent out an email inviting folk for an xmess orphan dinner and darling gwen responded in her own inimitable way:

I'd love to drop in but I think I will be holed up in my own apartment
tinkering with the temporal construct and making the cats destroy cardboard
cities while John makes Japanese monster noises.

I'm in trouble at work again. We just had our holiday potluck and one of
the partners got up to make a speech, which began with, "Its that time of
year again, the time of year when we..." I swear, if he hadn't paused for
so long it wouldn't have been at all audible when I said, "...kill the king
so the sun comes back."

damn...I'm still laughing.
