more presents

I swear we are going to be the best outfitted new family ever. Thanks Jetgrrlfor the wonderful book from our wishlist! I've already tried some of the wee baby activities with emily!

And Andrew's mom sent us the cutest pair of carriage shoes --wee black leather mary janes with roses on them...baby stuff really is too cute.

Andrew brought me pokkey..or however you spell it.

I got new navel jewelry from maelstrom studio lab and luckily my piercing hadn't closed. It looks cool. My belly looks weird, but the belly button looks normal again.

James is going out to brunch with his mom and her boyfriend today. I'm just not feeling so well and the thought of her getting around lots of new germs right before James goes out of town is not a good one, so we'll hang out at home.

She's been improving lately..will I jinx it by saying so? She's been sleeping during the day for the last 2 days now and not crying much at all! She's also been interested in playing with me and her toys while awake. And at night, while it's still every two hours she needs snacks, no meltdowns then. She does lose it after about 6:45 but only for an hour...that's totally doable...I just wish she didn't have to freak out..it can't be fun.

As soon as I wrote that she decided to have a melt down. Not a bad one...You can tell because she starts shaking her arms and legs, then gets really rigid and yells like a banshee..

Jam's mom just got us a swing!! We'll try it out at her meltdown tonight.

Hate to say it, but we had a rigid banshee, too. Could it hurt to get the wee one checked for reflux?

I"m all for the swing... hope it's a hit.

she doesn't stay rigid... how did it work out for your boyo. She just gets long and rigid, yells then wiggles a lot.

She's been getting better the last few days tho...Hey does reflux always include spitting up? because she doesn't do that.

The reflux doesn't have to go so far as to come out her mouth to make her uncomfortable. .. but if you don't think that's what's up, trust your instinct. . . lots of babies are colicky at his age.

Doesn't make it any easier to listen to, unfortunately.

Hope the swing is swinging, the babe is sleeping and you are, too.

My love to James (and Joyce) and the menagerie of Kitty Stars and Starlets.
