it's the little things

James looked after Emily today and I got a three hour (in a row) nap.
Everything is back in the closet.
She has been MUCH more even tempered today..as she was yesterday.
Though she has been eating up a storm (we've been doing much burping, thanks carmen!) I'm still thinking growth spurt because there has been more sleeping too.

Tomorrow we've got to try going out or taking a walk again..I'm feeling ready to start moving..

which brings me to this:

Have I said this already? Do you know how MUCH you need your butt for? And when your butt is sore (mine was bruised and sprained (yes I sprained my butt and thighs) and I had some serious tearing both internal and external during the delivery in four places) you can't do much of anything. Sitting is difficult, walking is difficult...but get this--COUGHING,SNEEZING AND LAUGHING is all messed up too. And don't even *think* about going to the bathroom. I've (seriously) just stopped crying every time I go. TMI, oh well too bad. It just makes you think--

The butt, the worlds most under-rated body part, needed for EVERYTHING. I've even had to sit on a blow up pillow or pillows on the couch because everything is too hard on my butt.

They asked me over and over "is it pain or pressure and where does it hurt?" It's PAIN (i know the damn difference) and it's IN MY BUTT.

Which for some reason didn't seem to make the desired impact. I was worried Emily had taken a detour and was trying to come out the wrong way (she'd have my sense of direction then).

So yeah, say thank you to your butt today...

I hope your bum heals up soon. There is nothig worse than bum pain.

However, should the need arise, our friend, Robert (Carol Queen's husband/boyfriend/partner/person) finally, after a couple of disasters, found a good bum specialist, so should you ever need a second opinion, I can get you the contact info and take care of you and my lovely neice.

Oh, gentle ((((hugs)))) to you and your bum! Going for a walk helps. In so many ways! Hope your bum heals quickly!

Knowing sympathies. I had some "issues" down there last year. I even missed work due to the pain.

Once you finally heal, it is amazing how good it feels to finally take a pain free trip to the bathroom.

James may remember last August/September when I was Mr Cranky at work.

Be glad you didn't have twins. :)

My best friend had all of those same problems and much more (serious hip issues) for up to a year after she delivered twins. She told me a little bit about it all, mostly just how awful the hospital delivery was, how she encountered these problems (hip) later, and how much it interferred with her sex life later. One day I'll have to sit her down and get the whole story and confer with my mom who has worked for years as a nurse in maternity wards. I'm sure my mom has seen it all. :p

PLEASE keep spewing the advice--it's so helpful!!

.The docs gave me many ice packs and the peri bottle which I'm still using. It's better than it was, it's just sad that it's still hurting...well her head was really big.

They did lots of sewing inside and out and I had a check two weeks after since I was re-hospitalized and everything looked like it was healing. It was just such an ordeal, they said it would take a few months.

I just never expected to be so aware of my butt!
