What's your budget? Do you have existing camcorder tapes laying around?
Camcorders can be as cheap as $299
Having just bought a new camcorder, I recomend the Sony TRV340 at $699
Digital-8, with the ability to play old 8mm analog tapes. Digital Video out (USB and Firewire) from tape or route analog input out either DV port. Good Zoom, low light and nightshot capabilites.
