Emily is having her afternoon meltdown and I'm at the puter so I can lean over and pet her every five minutes (doc said it's important that she gets time to cry to let off steam, and I can tell now when she's just vexed)....anyway
today she started blowing raspberries of a sort back at me. We went on like that for 15 minutes or more. She was surprised the first time she did it, then I did it back and she tried really hard and after awhile got it a second time. I kept playing with her and she got better and better. Now I'm covered in baby spit and it's pretty cool.
It helps that while my hormones are all over the place and the depression is casting it's own pall over things, miss Em can do something like this and it feels like dancing to Dexy's midnight runners in the springtime right after a rain at twilight.
