more ninny info

We just had to pet her and coddle her when she got home last night. She's bright eyed and as grumpy and opinionated as ever. She's eating up a storm and purring lots. It's such a relief. She's getting 1/2 a unit of insulin in the morning and 1/2 at night--smaller even than the smallest amount (2 units a day is usual) that is regularly given.

note--ask shadowfae if I could commission a couple of those polar fleece kitty blankets--maybe stuffed with something. or a floppy pillow so they are washable (sometimes, not often, but just in case--miss ninny has accidents, it's a diabetes issue) The last one we got was really pretty but when I washed it the innards bunched up and it's not comfortable to recline upon any more.

Miss Nin is here at my feet asking to be petted and I'm happy to oblige.

I baked cookies from scratch for the vet yesterday.

And if we have a good day today then I'll even get a chance to update about the faboo baby shower I went to last Saturday and Matt's box of cool surprises. Except for that DAMN CHICKEN TOY that James is carrying around and petting.

That's damned DISMEMBERED CHICKEN toy. Thought you would appreciate the dismembered chicken. . . . oh well...

it looks in tact to me...is it dismembered?

I wring it's neck often...hee hee

I'm glad that Miss Ninny is doing so much better. Do you have to give her the insulin in shot form or is there another way?

Mmmm....cookies.

it's in shot form dammit. James is teaching me but she doesn't like it. I hope she'll get used to it. The needles are really small and shouldn't be too noticable, she just hates being restrained. One way we can tell she's feeling like herself is she fights back when you try and hold her or carry her (unless she jumps up there first).

I'm sure, in time, all of you will get used to it. I'm glad to hear she's back to being cranky again. :)

I came very close to getting you a small plush Chocobo from FFX, but thought better of it.
