how to move a cat from your chair

Em is teething and very very grumpy.

She was yelling and screaming yesterday and kicking...I almost dropped her (she's VERY strong).

I've got a bottle ready...but Mr. Teatime is in my chair. I can't put her down to move Teatime, because it's a balancing act with her and the bottle--I'd probably drop both baby and bottle..

so without actually thinking about it..

I pointed screaming baby at large cat. Screaming baby looked at large cat and screamed.

Large cat ran away. Fast, very fast.

I gave Em her bottle and Teatime some chicken to make up for it a bit later.

Don't feel too bad for him... Tonight, when I came back in to Emily to give her a teething biscuit after dinner,he was sitting on the high chair licking her face and she was giggling.

"I have a loaded baby and I know how to use it!"

*laughing* That's brilliant!

When Sherilyn or I pick Mina up to move her from someplace she *doesn't* want to be moved from (like the computer chair), she goes limp and is dead weight, resulting in her feeling like she weighs 18lbs instead of just 9.

LOL!

On relaying to [livejournal.com profile] chriso, her response was "No, no, no. You're only supposed to tell me baby stories that are reminders of why we don't kids of our own."

WOW!

I'm embarrassed to admit that I've lost your birthday card. (Well, it was actually a Halloween card, but I was going to use it as a birthday card). :(
