cat comfort

If you have issues with extreme mental illness do NOT watch
"a beautiful mind'

I got it because I thought it was about math and James would like it.

When the guy had an episode and almost drowned his baby I started crying .. Mr. Teatime jumped up in my face and cuddled with me until I quit crying. Soon all the kitties joined us on the couch. We have such great cats. I missed having a big cat cuddle me when I cried, Hotspur was so very good at that...maybe he's been whispering in the big kitten's ear.

In honor of that here are kitty pictures

our ghost kitty Hotspur

Miss Ninny and Mr. Newguise the geriatricats (14 and 12) (note bizarre sleeping position that occasioned me to check her breathing)

And the kittens (nearly 4 for Zach and 1 for giant Mr. teatime)

today we had sushi lunch with Andrew and Miska and Emily snacked on her food at the same time. It was great fun and Em was very cool about the whole thing. That chair strap in dealie Matt sent us worked SO well she actually sat in a regular seat for 30 minutes, then got passed around the table trying to grab things like wasabi and soy sauce..

but Andrew and Miska dear I must apologize...we were so self and Emily absorbed today and I'm so sorry. I want to hear about YOUR stuff too. We just had a rough week between em and Jam's work and you present such kind shoulders to lean on.

We called Punkin, who passed away last year, Dr Punkin when were ill. She would stay with us when we were home sick. Not sleeping with us, watching over us. A guardian familiar, protecting us from illness.

I sort of knew it was "real" between Chris and I when I got really sick and stayed at her place. Every time I woke up, Punkin was right their watching. Not looking like she was woken up, or disturbed, by my coughing.

We knew were on the mend when Punkin would return to her usual cranky self and leave the room.

James passed the cat test too. That's when you know for sure you are in.

I remember one morning I heard "mmmf mmmf Jyllian what's going on" and looked over to see Hotspur sitting on the pillow James had over his head. I told him he had Mr. Spur on his head and he couldn't move.

He said ok and went back to sleep.

i knew he was the one for sure and forever right then.
