and it snows again. So pretty. I hope to take Emily out in it tomorrow. Her first snow, how exciting.

We took a walk around the park and part of Lincoln square today. I LIKE it. It reminds me of Dickson street and the square in Fayetteville in about 1987. I just need to find close produce (and the Jewel may do) and a butcher (we don't eat ground beef unless we see it ground because of Fast Food Nation . I didn't read that section because James snatched the book away and said --"nope you'll throw up every hamburger you've ever eaten." So I'm taking his word for it, which just proves how much I love and trust him--I'm usually one that has to see it for herself. We backslid a bit when I was pregnant because there were a few times that I HAD TO have a hamburger or I was going to start chewing on the furniture, but since miss Em has popped out we've gone back to staying away from burgers. And most fast food for that matter.

But really, my special meat sauce tastes better with ground beef. And so does SoS.

Emily was all bundled up in her cape today and looked so rosy cheeked and cute. I think I got some good pictures G and I'll post them for you! I so love it how people talk to you when you have kids--people with kids and even people without. It makes the world a much friendlier place.

It feels really good to be walking around pushing a beautiful baby in a stroller, James with his leather trenchcoat, spiky hair, big boots and doting smile; me with my big hat, big boots and flowy black skirt, holding a beeper (pacifier), smiling and talking to neighbors and people we come across in the park. It feels like "yeah, this is how life is supposed to be." I finally have a family I really belong in and to.

well, the Paulina Meat Market isn't *too* terribly far away, and their meat can't be beat! *groan*

oh NOW you've done it.

i've got this mental image of william shatner fighting a 7 foot tall pile of delicuts, a-la the gamesters of triskelion, with that bah-bha-bha-buhbuhbuh-bah music they would play, right before they'd rip shatner's shirt.

I need a trip to Merz's Apothecary to buy girly unguents.

Your neighborhood rocks. And so do you and James and Em.
