we are on the same network as Sushispook so when his dies, ours dies. We've been in and out of commission for a few days in case you were wondering. Looks like he's worked some of his magic on the ameritard monkeys.

The process is now officially begun.
The game is afoot.

I don't know how to say this delicately, so I won't . The cervix is no longer slammed shut, has begun to dilate and now the game is in play.

I'm wondering, will I be early, late or on time (on time is April 28th - May 3rd they weren't quite sure).

We did get the ok to go to the world horror convention and the super cool party Zombo invited us to (with godlike authors attending)if I'm feeling energetic enough.

And she said everything was going perfectly. That we've done everything right. Even better in some instances than much younger mothers (ha HA so there for your older mother sobriquet!)

I'm very happy and a bit nervous. We're at the top of the tallest point in the rollercoaster and starting down.

I should clarify

I'm not IN LABOR...it's that I've started the process that will lead to labor at some point. So we could have days or weeks. We'll know more at the next doc appointment next week.

The contractions I'm having aren't really painful (occasionally) and are really irregular. Mostly they are Braxton hicks, with possibly a bit of the real kind thrown in.

Finally got to meetjola IRL. And she is furry cool. It's so grand when you are just able to sit down and talk and feel really comfortable with someone right away. She is obviously such a cat person that even scaredy bigpants mr. teatime came down and hung out, and zach brought her his toys.


YAY. It feels so good to meet people here. I was worried about that when we moved--that it would be hard and I'd end up kind of isolated, but it's getting better.

and the terribly cute onsie fromluckly lil devil is the best! It has a flaming bottle on it and says "born to raise hell"

and truffles...mmmmmmmm chocolate is SO GOOD right now.
