The process is now officially begun.
The game is afoot.

I don't know how to say this delicately, so I won't . The cervix is no longer slammed shut, has begun to dilate and now the game is in play.

I'm wondering, will I be early, late or on time (on time is April 28th - May 3rd they weren't quite sure).

We did get the ok to go to the world horror convention and the super cool party Zombo invited us to (with godlike authors attending)if I'm feeling energetic enough.

And she said everything was going perfectly. That we've done everything right. Even better in some instances than much younger mothers (ha HA so there for your older mother sobriquet!)

I'm very happy and a bit nervous. We're at the top of the tallest point in the rollercoaster and starting down.

I love you, and this is so cool. You're about to be a mom everywhere you go for the rest of your life.

Your car is now Emily's car, your husband is now Emily's dad, your cats are now Emily's cats, and you are Emily's mom. It's so weird to hear people refer to you that way to your face, but you really do get to know people as so and so's parent, and often don't learn their names.

2. I'm hella jealous that you get to go to World Horror. Caitlin Kiernan is going to be there this year and I absolutely adore her. (My sister even made her a black dream catcher with a spider on it for her birthday a few years ago. Yes, I'm that much of a geeky fan about her.)
