more sleep
Jun. 11th, 2002 10:15 amand once again!
9:30 until 2:30, 3 until 5 then quiet in her co sleeper until 6:30!
one more week like this and I'll start waking her at 11 for a feeding and seeing if I can get her to sleep from midnight until 6.
She's smiling a lot now..makes me feel like I'm doing things right.
And I got to take a bath last night, so all is right with the world.
I ordered us books about home buying. Looks like we are going to do this thing. I'm hoping for a north shore home..close enough so people will visit us and we can visit them...but Homewood is still in the running. I've been told to stay away from Kankakee because of the crime rate.. I hope we'll be moved by November. I hope we'll know how to do this--it seems like our parents were so much more knowledgeable about the grown up things (like home buying, retirement accounts, car buying...etc) than we are.
Or did we just need to think that?
I can't imagine having a child before 25. You haven't seen much of life, haven't gotten to have a good time on your own. Of course there are exceptions. I personally would have had Emily sooner, but not before 30...
I wonder when you feel like a grown up...I feel like an adult...and much more so now with Emily, but I wonder if I'll ever feel like a grown up--probably not, (remember the star trek (miri) with the grups and the onlies?)...and maybe that's a good thing.
