So we borrowed a scale from Miska.

Mr. Teatime is 10 months old and weighs nearly 15 lbs.

Miss Emily is 2 months and 2 days old and is 25 inches long and weighs 14 lbs.

I am getting some serious arm muscles And I won't say my weight, but I'm still losing after the baby. This is rather amazing considering the junk food (with the exception of what Miska and Andrew have made for us) we've been eating. Hey, with Miss Emily never sleeping we have only had time for frozen foods. I think James is now frightened of the idea of another Tombstone pizza. But two days ago we headed back towards a balanced diet and have made plans to trade off baby duties so I can cook again. Because this baby does NOT want to go to sleep until about 9 at night. Sometimes she falls asleep on me during the day for an hour, but mostly she's awake.
Here a 20 minute nap, there a 20 minute nap. All day, no matter what I try. She's just very interested in her surroundings and doing things.

She slept from 9-3 last night then kept me up from 3-6. James took over at 6:30 and gave me an hour and half of sleep. I wonder if we'll ever catch up? And yes I do go to bed when she does most of the time. It takes me forever to fall asleep right now--I have to keep checking her breathing. I was warned this would happen.

Today we attempt an outing, where? To the vet of course. Mr. Newguise and Zachary need their checkups. I hope Miss Emily will accommodate us. We have a hat with ears for her to wear and I'm considering wearing ears too. Hmm we need to find some for James or he'll feel left out.

ah, the princess calls again.

well we decided it doesn't make sense for Emily and I to go to the vet. James will have to be the cat wrangler until she's older. There's a good chance she'd be crabby (she's been crabby the last two days--growing again I think) and I'd end up not helping with the cats and just wrangling her. It makes me sad not to be at the vet appointments with the furry folk, but I'll be able to go in a few months. We may try taking Emily out this afternoon, either for a walk or a bit of shopping. I hope so. I need to get out a bit.
