so yesterday Em had her first real looking poo. Heh, yes we are fascinated with the poo around here.

She's rolling over from her back to her stomach on both sides and sometimes from her stomach to her back. She's playing with the toys on her swing and bouncy seat (which she only gets a wee bit of time in each day) and she's getting really good with the rattles while we listen to Irish music. She's already creeping about. But she gets really frustrated and yells each time she rolls over, so there's a lot of crying going on over here. I wonder what that means about her temperament or if babies just don't have lots of patience. Is patience learned or inborn? It's hard not to step in and do things for her when she's crying--but I've learned the difference between her 'I'm kinda ticked off I can't do this easily yet" cry and her "I can't stand this anymore" cry. She won't learn how to do all the cool stuff if I do it for her. Still I wish it were easier.

She's also (and I'm scared of jinxing it) slept through until after 5 a.m. for the last three nights. I have not of course. I wake up at 1 then again at 3 and again around 5. She wiggles and thrashes and I tuck her blankets back in and she settles down by herself. I hope this keeps going! I wonder when I'll sleep through the night?

Miss Ninny is limping again. She'll go back to the doc for another anti inflammatory shot today and we'll try and figure out if there's any more medication she can take that will work like an injection. She's still on the double strength cosequin and probably always will be--heck she doesn't seem to mind I hide it in a bit of tuna every morning.

I'm trying to move ahead on the house stuff. I was hoping James would jump in, but that hasn't worked out so I'll see what I can learn. It scares me though, even though I do all our finances and pay our bills the whole house thing is complicated and has lots to do with numbers. And math was never my strong suit. Still, it has to be done, so today I'm going to look at pre approval on eloan and lending tree and see what Gwen did. We need to find an accountant too, to see if the money we'll save in taxes this year since we have miss em, some large medical expenses and buy a house would balance liquidating all or part of my 401 k for a downpayment. But how the heck do you find a good accountant?

This entry only took 6 hours to write.
