Hi Noogie last night.
I cried and I'll be doing that for awhile.
Today he walked up to her highchair and scooped some of her lunch out of her plate and ate it off his paw just like he used to. (yes we let cats on the table, counter, in the bathtub--cats go anywhere they want to around here, I think the only thing I try and stop them from doing is putting their butts in my food) . On Saturday we reminisced about Newg's penchant for crushing Andrew's left testicle and how he has always been the most friendly zen guy that I've ever known. He waited until we found our home. He found me when I lived in SF's tenderloin and stayed with me through many moves, jobs, a divorce, 2 degrees and finally a new life, marriage and Miss Emily. He's always been my calming influence, an anchor to the kindness in life. His dapper suit , white gloves and bright bright eyes have led me out of darkness many times over the last 16 years. His picture etched forever over my heart reminds me not to forget his lessons in patience and kindness.
Alex is going to come out and look after Emily tomorrow night. I'm hoping Mr. Newguise' vet will have some sort of miracle to perform. I'll keep hoping that and keep acting responsibly. We are grateful for everyone's kindness.

Our kitties can't put their butts in our food either, but if they're curious about something, I usually let them have a little taste (unless it has chocolate in it). They're also not allowed under the kitchen or bathroom sinks 'cause there's dangerous stuff there.
