Dear Dr. Rovner;

I didn't want to interrupt your work, but I wanted to let you know
that we will not be going to Wheeling Hospital anymore. They have lost
Mr. Newguise's blanket and his collar and tag. They were completely
cavalier about the situation, especially the assistant that showed
James where the carriers were, but the receptionist wasn't much
better. I'm absolutely appalled that they could lose his personal
effects then not care about how painful that would be to us. I
understand that they must see a number of upset or grief stricken
people in the course of their work, however, that doesn't mean they cannot
have a kind and appropriate manner when dealing with people in such a
delicate situation.

We really value our relationship with you and appreciate all you have
done for us and our family. I'm not sure what is going on with
Wheeling, and we were really ready to give them the benefit of the
doubt, but this kind of failure is much too painful. It really
conjures up all sorts of unpleasant thoughts that none of us want
right now as we are grieving. We don't take anything about our cat's
lives and happiness lightly and don't want those entrusted with their
care to either. We will be seeing you at Higgins, but no longer at
Wheeling.

Thank you again for your kindness with all of our kids, but especially
Mr. Newguise.

Jyllian

They suck.

If I could go and give them a piece of my mind I would.

Good letter.

Good grief. How totally...there are no words.

My vet warns us every time we bring one of the pets in - not to leave the carrier. Because this kind of thing happens. They warn us.

*shakes head* There are no words.

You did good, kiddo. You did real good. I haven't had a chance to tell you - you did good. Don't let this derail you - you did good. Absolutely heroic.

i'm so sorry to hear about this hideous ordeal (and i'm equally sorry about mr. n's misfortunes. purrs & kisses to the late little chap - and to you & your family) :(
the last thing you need on top of your grief is to have salt rubbed into your wounds by careless vet. assistants. you have my sympathies..and i sincerely hope mr. newguise's things turn up somehow; or at the very least, an individual 'fesses up to the mistake & tries to make amends in an appropriate manner.
