I am SO HAPPY. Bartleby is a little spaz and talks all the time. He's very snuggly too. Emily is in love with him. She keeps saying "Barleby O are you?!" She's already drawn a picture of him and kissed him on the head.

We went upstairs to the guest room to hang out with him and she was very very good. I feel like I've been standing on one foot for months and just remembered to put my other foot down.

I knew he was for us--all his whiskers were chewed off. Hotspur used to chew off all Miss Ninny's whiskers. The breeders didn't know that about Siamese cats.

And [livejournal.com profile] savagemutha told me that one of the kitty places called for a reference and her man [livejournal.com profile] zombo_the_clown said I was the "cattiest cat person" ever and some other really nice things. That just makes me proud. Like glowing and happy proud.

I think I'm going to explode.

Heh. Well, she looked at the chicken baby food like "you've got to be kidding me, lady," so it's back to tuna and gravy. I wish she'd eat more. She also spit up a little last night, but the vet told me that can happen with the antibiotics. She just doesn't have much energy, but maybe that's because all of her energy is going toward clearing up that nasty abscess. I hope so.

Glad Bartleby is such a joy, and yes, a suburban cookout would be wunderbar. Amazing how much better I feel from having walked around in the nice spring air for a few hours today. And I'm not even a particular fan of spring -- autumn is my season. Pepe has been sunning herself, so at least she can enjoy that.
