Dearest Bean;
I can't believe you are two already. Such an amazing girl,so fierce, so beautiful, so smart. You are everything I ever hoped for and so much more. I knew you were going to turn our world upside down, but I didn't know you'd be able to spin it like a top, warm it like the unexpected sun in April and fuel it like a rocket ship. You are amazing my sweet one. You are a new surprise every day. You teach me things I didn't know I needed to learn and many things I never would have but for you. I love your independence when you fling yourself into something new. I love your sweetness when you have a moment to kiss Bartleby or climb into my lap and say 'my mommy." I even love your frustration and tears because they allow me to show you my love in patience and make your desire to learn and be so very clear. You are my heart walking around in kitty shoes with handfuls of mud and a goofy grin. And my heart never looked so beautiful. Oh darling bean you really are the very best thing your daddy and I have done and we are very lucky to be your family.

thank you lots. I was pretty teary when I was writing it. It really is just cool to be her mom and sometimes the feeling is so very large that words seem too small, but you have to try anyway.
