still here

barely kicking. Bean got a fever again. Could only sleep with me on the chair. I'm still hanging on to the bare end of this thing. On the bright side, the doctor says it looks like we got the bad flu out of the way first thing.

Bean got her first report from school--"she's very bright, very articulate, very happy and quite empathetic. She's an intense little being and is making friends well with the other children. Her favorite is a quiet little girl, she's learning to approach her carefully and they are developing a sweet friendship. Emily is a joy."

There's even more, but can you say exploding with pride? I really like it that they understand and guide her there. I really really like that.

Latest bean conversation overheard : Two dolphins crash into each other in the bathtub, one says to the other "excuse me dolphin, I didn't see you there are you ok?" I do not jest. The other dolphin answered in dolphin noises.

More to report, but later when I feel more human...

Oh my god, I haven't even met Emily and I'm exploding with pride!

Just goes to show that all of the people giving you grief about her behavior were totally full of shit.

Oh geez, get well soon, both of you! That flu sounds nasty.

Em sounds like such a wonderful child, and that she's at a school where they appreciate bright, active, alive children! Lucky you, and lucky her.
