Emily eats sushi

Sadly the sushi ain't great out here--though a new restaurant opened up we're going to try...but I grab Trader Joe's sushi for a snack for us every couple of weeks.

This is the third time the Bean has tried sushi and so far she likes it all. She's also got an interesting chopstick technique.

Oh...there are a lot of sippy cups. She'd been hiding them and collected them all for dinner. What isn't in the picture is her FOURTH glass of milk in a regular cup. Least I don't have to worry about her being hydrated :-)

I always find the stabbing method very satisfying, myself. ;)

it's much easier than the traditional way. Especially helpful is the sushi trumpet. Makes it taste better I'm told.

She gets prettier all the time!

Thank you :-) It's way cool she's smart and pretty. The future queen of everything needs many such attributes.

She is so adorable...and I love the hair. Yay for sushi eating kiddos! Ree's fond of the shrimp wraps herself...*lol*

thank you :-) I did it myself. She has the bangs I could never get.

One day, somehow I want us all to have dinner. I had a dream about that last night. It was wonderful.

I love her chopstick method! She's obviously much smarter than I am. I just use my fingers . . .

wow! I'm amazed someone her age would like sushi! I don't think I would have liked it as a kid at all! I love her hair.

Speaking of Japanese food, do you have any idea how to prepare edamame? It's one of the few vegetables I'll eat and I'm trying to figure out how to make it for myself and make it taste as good as it does in the Japanese restaurants.

jeepers, I just saw this. Um, you can boil or steam edamame. Where are you getting it?
