It was her birthday recently.

To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower:
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.
- William Blake, Auguries of Innocence

I can't believe how much I love you and how much more amazing you've made my life. You are a dream come true my special girl, more beautiful and brilliant every day. I'd slay any dragon, rebuild ancient Rome, drink dry the sea for you, just ask.

But you still have to pick up your toys.

She looks like she's having tons of fun in the mud. Can I come over and play?

anytime :-)

You'll have to bring some extra mud though, she tends to use it up pretty quickly.

heh, that's a learned one. I don't like dirt either, but she's so joyful about it all, you just have to go with it.

*snork*

Please tell Emily that James and Eva hope she has a great birthday.

She looks like I image you as a kid. You both should be proud that you're giving her such a wonderful childhood.

wow. I wish I could have been half the amazing kiddo she is. Thank you.

And thank you. We're trying (and it's work, but it's great fun too) to give her lots of exploration and silliness and just time to do all the things kids should have the time to do.
