So cute and so geeky.

Geek boy heaven!

[identity profile] pywacket.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
my best boy friends (and boyfriends) at that age were all the boys at the comic/sci fi bookshop and the boys at the conventions.

That was SO much fun.

[identity profile] thingie.livejournal.com 2005-06-16 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
oh my god, that's adorable! But what branch of starfleet is that? I've never seen that type of uniform before!

[identity profile] pywacket.livejournal.com 2005-06-16 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
That is kirk's uniform from the first movie.

Me=giant dork!

[identity profile] cheekytubemouse.livejournal.com 2005-06-16 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I aspire to be the dork that you are.

[identity profile] pywacket.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
oh I suspect you are dearie.

[identity profile] cheekytubemouse.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Hrm... Considering that I recently won both this and this, you may be right. Yay!

[identity profile] thingie.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 10:41 am (UTC)(link)
wait a minute. I thought Kirk's uniform from the first movie was this silky, sheer lame-assed thing that looked like it belonged in a victoria's secret catalog?

Wait, I found a pic of it.

Wasn't that it? Did they change it in the middle of the movie? It's been soooo long since I've seen it, I don't remember. I only remember that god awful lingerie/pajamas at the beginning of the movie they tried to pass off as a starfleet uniform.

Anyway, the one you are wearing is much much better.

[identity profile] pywacket.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 12:57 pm (UTC)(link)
It's an admirals uniform. I passed a test in a star fleet club and my score allowed me to wear the admiral's uniform. It's from the beginning of the movie I believe.

[identity profile] thingie.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 01:13 pm (UTC)(link)
"I passed a test in a star fleet club."

Oh my god, I so, so, majorly love your geekyness.

I really wish you were in San Francisco right now. Kate Mulgrew is in town performing in the play Tea at Five, which I have wanted to see for ages, and none of my friends who live out here are people who would be interested in seeing something like that. But I don't know if you were ever a Voyager fan or not. I was, especially because of Kate. (Despite the constant hairstyle changes.) Although Jeri Ryan and her crappy acting can take a hike.

[identity profile] cheekytubemouse.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
*sigh* I want to see that so badly, but it's a little out of my price range right now.

[identity profile] thingie.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah yes! It was that dreaded "standard duty uniform" that they had him in that I didn't like. What kind of standard duty does one do in that kind of outfit, anyway?

The admiral's uniform is nice, though.

[identity profile] gen9.livejournal.com 2005-06-16 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Excellent!

[identity profile] evergrey.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 12:23 am (UTC)(link)

tee hee...if you'll come over here and sit on my knee I will.

Now, drink your blood wine like a good little warrior.

[identity profile] teaforme.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
I love it! Very cute and sexy! All the boys (and some girls too) at the Star Trek convention would have gone nuts over you.

[identity profile] pywacket.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
howdy stranger, how are you!

Oh they did. I went to Oakcon and a few others. And I wore that to sell tickets to the movie (I was a cashier in a movie theatre back then).

I look even better in my picard nexgen uniform.

[identity profile] teaforme.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 01:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm hanging in there. Hellish week at work but hey, it's FRIDAY.

I never went to any Star Trek cons when I was that age, unfortunately. I didn't manage to connect with other sci-fi geeks until much later in life.

So, will wee Em be getting her very own Star Trek uni? :-)

[identity profile] pywacket.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
She's had her first one thanks to my friend rimma (rfd on LJ).
I'm now in search of one her size for when we go to the next convention --probably this year.

[identity profile] eunice-branca.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 11:11 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, that is THE COOLEST UNIFORM!!!

[identity profile] assriel.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 12:19 pm (UTC)(link)
