Get in the kitchen and make me some pie

Today Emily told James:

"no, bob the builder is for girls. You go in the kitchen and make some food for me."

So I guess this 'traditional' arrangement we have isn't screwing with our feminism now is it?

No Kitty, that's my pot pie!

Oh my god, that is so totally hilarious. I love it when you post these things, because they really brighten up my day.

There needs to be a book of Emily, with a collection of her witticisms.

Excellent. She'll have plenty of outside world influences later, so might as well balance it out to start with. :)

I'd love to see her meet with my nephew! My nephew is all about girls toys and boys toys which drives me batty. Emily will have to be my new role model!!

oh he'd be highly offended by her new favorite shirt with Thomas, percy and James the engines on it. And her collection of trains. And hammers. And cars :-)

He needs a little shaking up! He may even forget his girl toys and boy toys and just dig that she has Thomas. The Beast has a huge collection of Thomas also. He's all about the train tracks building!

Alan would approve. He loves Thomas.

I like the way your daughter thinks!
