poor wet kitty

we have a huge (i can float) bathtub that Mr. Teatime loves. He drinks out of the faucet and hangs out with me when I bathe. He can't get enough of the bathtub...well maybe now he can. I was warning him to be careful, turned my back and SPLASH...he was up to his middle in the water and jumping to get out...he couldn't get any purchase, so instead was doing these mad leaps up the side of the rather steep tub. I had to yell for James because I'm not so steady on my feet and trying to grab a hysterical cat might tip me over in the slick bathtub. James comes running in and can't see what the problem is. I'm nekkid and pointing and saying HELP and he sees the madly flinging kitten and jumps in the tub avec bathrobe to grab him. It takes several tries. He grabs poor sodden Mr. Teatime and puts him on the rug and I cover them both with a towel. We are now laughing hysterically. Teatime escapes and rushes about the bathroom, I shut the door and he looks terribly embarrassed. We towel him off weak from laughter.

This is the fourth, but most spectacular time he's fallen in the tub. More than any other cat I've ever had.

Boo does the same thing.. absolutely facinated with water.
Merlot was pretty bad too, but this little guy definitely takes the cake.

When Oscar was a kitten, he feel into my old claw footed bathtub with me a time or two. As I'm sure you know, nekkidness and sharp claws are not good things to combine.

And James wins the Cat Person of the Day Award for his heroic rescue of Mr. Teatime. :)
