That was the name of my favorite book when I was a kid. I didn't own it for some reason, so my older sister always had to sign it out of the library, and she was kinda old to be using the juvenile section at that stage.
Anyway -- it was about a white cat with green eyes and the changes of the season. And it's finally back in print, and my sis gave it to me for my birthday this year.
But Bagpuss looks wonderful -- and how great that the little girl is named Emily
