And sometimes I'm overwhelmed with this undertaking. Sometimes I am terrified at all that can go wrong and amazed at all that often does goes right. Sometimes I cry for what was and what may be. Sometimes I tremble at what must be, and always, always I know that this is the time.

I know I've said it before, but it's true: when you stop being terrified at what you and James are doing, that's when you're in trouble.

You're gonna rock as parents. No worries. Because you're both empathetic and sensitive and concerned enough to worry about what you're doing. Emily isn't a Yuppie accessory to you.

I'm so glad when people I like decide to have kids. It rocks!
