First Pediatrician visit

And Miss Emily was wearing a stylish baby bonds outfit from Uncle Matt sent from Australia and a cat hat from Auntie Miska...She was wrapped in her special soft blanket from Auntie Genevieve. Very stylish, the envy of all other babies.
According to her vet, she is in perfect health, a thriving girlie and we are doing everything right so far...Turns out the girlie got so big from a couple of things...I really ate healthy and exercised and did all the right stuff (oh how I tried, eschewing ice cream for fruit smoothies, yes) and/or my due date was out of whack by some considerable time. Whatever the case, she is, as Doctor Arons put it "perfect."
He was so calming to us. James did a happy dance and I did one in spirit.
we got scared last night because her nose was stuffed up and we didn't use the nose snorter correctly. When we did all was well. It's surprising how very life or death everything seems from the moment you deliver onward.
I have lots of things I've been thinking but I'm only allowed at the computer for a few minutes a day. Apparently I have a fine vampiric pallor, the one I always wanted--only had to lose half my blood volume to get it. I'm still in a huge amount of pain, amazing how much you need your butt for you know? The pediatrician visit did me in, but I wasn't going to miss that for the world. I get dizzy really easily and am having trouble eating but that has been helped mightily by the ministrations of Andrew and Miska and how they have pelted us with food. Amazing food...sheesh, Miska could teach chefs how to cook.
And thank you Matt for the most wonderful email I've gotten in a long time. Just like at our wedding you know the best things to say and the finest time to say it.
And thanks to everyone for your good wishes and kind thoughts. They are appreciated.
Ok my time is ticking away and I know ya'll need some pictures, so here goes. Next update as time, episiotomies and anemia allow.
