it's not missing one night of sleep.
I can do that..
It's not even having restless sleep
I can do that too
It's when days become weeks of waking every two hours.
Or in the case of last night every hour and a half.

I'm really glad she's here and the night feedings can be very sweet--especially when the kitties are all there and watch or cuddle with me.

BUT

it was much easier when she was on the inside. MUCH easier. If I'd known that I probably wouldn't have kvetched as much.

Yes I would have. It's funny to know that I'd trade what happened in the third trimester for the barfing of the first and the "fourth" trimester (the month after she was born) for the pain of the third. I wonder if I'll trade the teenage years for the newborn month.

I'm not sad about this, just thinking. And tired. Very tired. Yesterday was really hard.

But it is nice to have her here. She laughed yesterday when Zach head butted her (gently) and I poked her wee nose.

she has! the kimono shirts have been the best. Some things she was too big for right away and somethings it was too hot for, but with your permission I have two very good girlfriends who are now knocked up with girls and I'd love to pass those along to them and tell them the history.

It gets better, it gets easier - and soon. I promise. I always hated it when Soren had to leave town to do whatever pressing and immediate business-world thing he had to do when Ree was a baby. Suddenly you realize how awesome your responsability is and how helpless they are and it's hard not to feel completely overwhelmed. You're doing better than I was. I spent three months in bed one weekend, with everything arrayed around me so that I never had to leave it. *laugh*

You could SLEEP when you were pregnant???

Lucky you! Ummm...After a couple of months to 6 she SHOULD sleep through the night. If you wanna DAMN the experts at THAT time try the cereal bottle. But she COULD get constipated or blow up BAD!!!!! They are really NOT supposed to eat solids for MONTHS! Not even cereals...but it SOMETIMES works! Try switching formula brands...try rocking her to sleep at certain times. Do the Pavlov thing and CONDITION her.
