they gave us the carrier.
Acted cavalier about his death.
Lost his collar and blanket, probably.

I'm about to talk to the head of the clinic.
I'm about to let completely loose on them.
And I'm going to write our good vet and tell him just how they screwed up.

HOW COULD THEY?

We will be driving the rest of the kids into Chicago from now on. And making DAMN SURE everyone knows, that with the exception of Dr. Rovner, Wheeling animal hospital is an evil place.

This hurts so damn bad I can't believe it, don't these assholes know that he is a part of our family as much as anyone could be?

Dear Dr. Rovner;

I didn't want to interrupt your work, but I wanted to let you know
that we will not be going to Wheeling Hospital anymore. They have lost
Mr. Newguise's blanket and his collar and tag. They were completely
cavalier about the situation, especially the assistant that showed
James where the carriers were, but the receptionist wasn't much
better. I'm absolutely appalled that they could lose his personal
effects then not care about how painful that would be to us. I
understand that they must see a number of upset or grief stricken
people in the course of their work, however, that doesn't mean they cannot
have a kind and appropriate manner when dealing with people in such a
delicate situation.

We really value our relationship with you and appreciate all you have
done for us and our family. I'm not sure what is going on with
Wheeling, and we were really ready to give them the benefit of the
doubt, but this kind of failure is much too painful. It really
conjures up all sorts of unpleasant thoughts that none of us want
right now as we are grieving. We don't take anything about our cat's
lives and happiness lightly and don't want those entrusted with their
care to either. We will be seeing you at Higgins, but no longer at
Wheeling.

Thank you again for your kindness with all of our kids, but especially
Mr. Newguise.

Jyllian
